Care Team
Life brings seasons of joy and seasons of challenge. Whether you're recovering from surgery, caring for a loved one, facing a difficult situation, or simply need some extra support, our Care Team is here to help.
Working alongside our pastors, Care Team volunteers provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support to members of our church family.
How We Help
Depending on the need, our volunteers may be able to:
- provide meals during times of illness or crisis
- offer rides to appointments or church services and events
- visit people at home, in hospital, or in care facilities
- send cards and words of encouragement
- assist with light hom maintenance, cleaning, or small repairs
- pray with and encourage those going through difficult seasons
If you or someone you know could benefit from support, please contact the church office, email us at careteam@centralbaptistchurch.ca, or fill out the application form here.
Central also has a Benevolent Fund to provide practical help when other reasonable sources of support are not available or have been exhausted. The fund is supported through the generosity of people at Central Baptist Church and is intended primarily to help members and regular attendees who are experiencing financial hardship. More information on the Benevolent Fund is available on the application form available here.
If you need support beyond what we're able to provide directly, we can help you connect with other community resources. Our Guide to Community Resources has information about other organizations that provide various kinds of assistance in the Greater Victoria area.

Prayer
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests..."
Ephesians 6:18
Prayer is at the heart of who we are as a church. We believe God hears us, works through prayer, and invites us to bring every part of our lives before Him. Whether you're celebrating, grieving, seeking wisdom, or praying for someone else, we'd love to pray with you.
As one of our core values states, we are a church that is powered by prayer—seeking God first, bringing our requests to Him, and trusting Him in all we do.
Prayer
If you have a prayer request, we'd be honoured to pray for you.
Prayer requests can be shared through our online form, by contacting the church office, or by speaking with one of our pastors.
With your permission, requests can also be shared through our church prayer email so others can join you in prayer.
Prayer Partners
After most Sunday services, trained Prayer Partners are available to pray with anyone who would like prayer. We believe God meets us in prayer through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, bringing peace, healing, wisdom, strength, and hope for whatever we are facing.
Join the Prayer Ministry
Prayer is for everyone.
Whether you would like to become a Prayer Partner, participate in prayer gatherings, join a prayer walk, or simply receive updates through the prayer chain, we'd love to help you get connected. Contact the church office at office@centralbaptistchurch.ca to get started.
