"Forbidden Treasure"

Event Description:
"A treasure will be hidden somewhere in the church and the kids will have to work together to discover its hidden location. However, the treasure is protected by some ancient guardians...and I mean ancient! (i.e. 456 leaders) and they will stop at nothing to protect it and keep it all for themselves. Gwahahaha!!!"

WHEN: Friday, May 28th from 7-9 PM
WHERE: Central Baptist Church
TO BRING: Masks (Mandatory to be worn at all times except when seated at a distance)
*SPECIAL NOTE: If you are late to this event there is a good chance the front doors may be closed on you. If that is the case, please call me at 250-886-8903. But better just not to be late ;) - Tom

*Since our attendance is based on spacing, we can only have up to 20 children for this event. Therefore in order to attend, you must first register using this link:

Register for Club 456

Our final Club 456 event of the year will be on Friday, June 11th, where we will be hosting a Grand Prix! That's right, just like they do at Awanas, Scouts or like we used to do for our Urban Adventures day camps, we will be building wooden cars and racing them on our very own racetrack!

(See here for an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=husF4n_dl9AIt)

It will be a fun evening of friendly competition and prizes. However, unlike previous years, we will be expecting the kids to work on their wooden cars at home prior to the event. So crafty Moms and Dads, time for you to break out some power tools and get competitive yourselves! :)

Again, I repeat, unlike the demo video above, there will be NO power tools or crafting done here at the church. That all needs to be done at home in advance of the event. The event itself will just be for racing, awards, and partying! :)

*I have kits available for pick-up as early as this Friday, otherwise they can be picked up at the church office anytime prior to the event. The cost to participate will be $5.00 per child.

*FYI: The rules of the competition and award categories will be printed and sent home with the car kits. And yes, "Tom the Stickler" will strictly enforce them for all-around fair play. I've been "around the block" before, I know how some parents like to slip in an advantage or two ;)
