| Statement
of Faith
11) The Righteous
and the Wicked
We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between
the righteous and the wicked. Only those, who through faith are
justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and sanctified by the Spirit
of our God, are truly righteous in God's sight, while all who continue
in unbelief are in God's sight wicked and under condemnation. We
believe that this distinction holds even after death in the everlasting
conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious
suffering of the lost.

4) Matt. 25:46; John 5:29
12) The Resurrection, Return of Christ, and
Related Events
We believe in the literal bodily resurrection of Christ - that He
rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. After manifesting
Himself for forty days to His disciples, He ascended to His Father's
right hand where, as our great High Priest, He ever lives to make
intercession for His own. We believe that according to His promise
He will come again without sin unto salvation; and that His coming
will be personal, visible and glorious.

13) The Local Church
We believe that a church of Christ is a congregation of baptized
believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the
gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws,
and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them
in His word; and that its officers are pastors and deacons. We believe
the true mission of the church is found in the great commission.
We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self government,
and that the one and only superintendent is Christ through the Holy
Spirit; that it is scriptural for true churches to cooperate with
each other; that every church is the sole and only judge of the
measure and method of its cooperation. On all matters of membership,
policy, government, discipline, benevolence, the will of the local
church is final.

1:22-23
14) Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe that the ordinance of Christian baptism is the immersion
in water of a believer in the name of the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit. Baptism is a public witness to faith in Christ and
pictures the identification of the believer in the death, burial,
and resurrection of Christ. It is a requirement for Church Membership.
1) Matt. 28:19,20 2) Romans 6:3,4
We believe that the Lord's Supper is an ordinance for believers
to remember the death of Christ, the bread representing His body,
and the cup His blood. Believers are to examine themselves before
taking part.
1) 1 Cor. 11:23-34
15) Christian Conduct
As God's children we are to love God and demonstrate that love by
obedience to God's commands. We are to love one another and to use
our spiritual gifts to build up one another in the Lord. We are
to realize that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and to
use it for God's glory. We are to walk in the Sprit and cultivate
the fruit of the Spirit. We are to forgive one another, just as
God in Christ has forgiven us.
